A small village of Pedabayalu is located in the northern part of Andhra Pradesh state in eastern India, quite close to a large manmade lake, Jolaput Reservoir. It is one of the numerous small settlements in the area, with the population not exceeding 800 people. The area is quite dry, but local farmers used to receive some small support from the government and develop their businesses a little easier.
This installed water treatment unit brings access to drinking water to 1200 students.
The unit treats 500 liters /days.
A special thanks to the Chilean Company Axis S.L. who sponsored this project as well as other anonymous individuals and to our dear Vice President Nicolas Desvernay.
